ISACA New England Members,
The 2007/2008-year is winding down, and I am quite pleased with the enthusiasm that our members have brought to our events this year. I would like to take this time to thank the 2007/2008 ISACA New England Board Members & Committee Members! We are proud to announce that 100% of our board are volunteers. Without their dedication, we would not have amazing speakers, printed handouts, lunch, web blasts, and the list goes on. I would especially like to highlight the work done by our Treasurer, Laurie McDonald. Ms. McDonald is new to the ISACANE board this year; she has surpassed all our expectations and has been an extremely valuable member. Not only is she busy enough with her Treasurer responsibilities, she also assisted the CISA & CISM Committees. Thank you Laurie! Find out more information about Ms. McDonald in this month’s board member spotlight.
Are you from Central or Western Massachusetts?
ISACA New England is looking to bring more events to central and western Massachusetts. We have been very successful in bringing our events to Rhode Island, Maine, and New Hampshire. We now want to focus our efforts on our members beyond the 495 loop! If you are interested in planning an event, please contact us.
Want to join the ISACANE Board?
The board still has open committee member positions for the 2008/2009-year. All officer, committee chairpersons, and committee member positions are listed at http://www.isacane.org/officers.htm. If you are interested in finding out more about the various committees, please contact president@isacane.org. Joining the ISACA New England board is an exciting opportunity to broaden your network of colleagues.
Need to earn CPES?
On June 5th, ISACA New England will be hosting our Annual Meeting at the Boston College Dover Retreat Center. We will be offering sessions throughout the day including UNIX, Computer Forensics, Compliance, PCI, Recovery & Continuity Management, and more. The day will conclude with a networking social and raffle prizes!
Do you have an idea for an upcoming ISACA New England event?
As we plan for next year, we are interested in finding out what seminar topics you are interested in. We are also seeking venues for our breakfast meetings, seminars, and review courses. If your company is willing to host an event, please let us know. In exchange, you and your colleagues can earn CPES for free!
More information is available on these items and on www.isaca.org. I would like to thank again all ISACA New England board and committee members for their efforts! Without great volunteers, we would not be able to provide our members excellent training and events!
Thank you,
Tricia Wood
ISACA New England President
